treewide: remove stdenv where not needed 2021-01-25 18:31:47 +01:00
Profpatsch 4a7f99d55d treewide: with stdenv.lib; in meta -> with lib;
Part of: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/108938

meta = with stdenv.lib;

is a widely used pattern. We want to slowly remove
the `stdenv.lib` indirection and encourage people
to use `lib` directly. Thus let’s start with the meta
field.

This used a rewriting script to mostly automatically
replace all occurances of this pattern, and add the
`lib` argument to the package header if it doesn’t
exist yet.

The script in its current form is available at
https://cs.tvl.fyi/depot@2f807d7f141068d2d60676a89213eaa5353ca6e0/-/blob/users/Profpatsch/nixpkgs-rewriter/default.nix

treewide: update which packages I'm currently maintaining
Idea shamelessly stolen from 4e60b0efae.

I realized that I don't really know anymore where I'm listed as maintainer and what
I'm actually (co)-maintaining which means that I can't proactively take
care of packages I officially maintain.

As I don't have the time, energy and motivation to take care of stuff I
was interested in 1 or 2 years ago (or packaged for someone else in the
past), I decided that I make this explicit by removing myself from several
packages and adding myself in some other stuff I'm now interested in.

I've seen it several times now that people remove themselves from a
package without removing the package if it's unmaintained after that
which is why I figured that it's fine in my case as the affected pkgs
are rather low-prio and were pretty easy to maintain.

I don't really know anything about the package;
I just noticed the regression on hydra.nixos.org.

notary: fix build
The package is broken on master for some time now:
https://hydra.nixos.org/job/nixos/trunk-combined/nixpkgs.notary.x86_64-linux/all

The main reason for the breackage is that the `Makefile` script attempts
to retrieve the latest git commit by using `git rev-parse` which breaks
as `git` is not in the build environment. This could be fixed by using
`?=` rather than `:=` for the `GITCOMMIT` variable in the `make` script
to easily override `GITCOMMIT` in the `buildPhase`.

See the Hydra logs for reference:
https://nix-cache.s3.amazonaws.com/log/ib4qp8h4r8d830ra4fah38l7ybb82gp7-notary-0.6.0.drv

Furthermore some refactoring was applied:

* Activated the test suite for `cmd/notary` to confirm the basic
  functionality when building for NixOS.

* Added {pre,post} hooks for `{build,install}Phase`

* Added myself as maintainer to have more people available in case of
  further breakage.
